Yesterday as I was driving home from work I witnessed an act of human kindness that makes me cry just thinking of it. It literally stopped me in my tracks to witness something beautiful.
Let me preface this by saying where I live right now is extremely busy with people getting ready for the July 4th weekend. You see lots of people in a hurry to relax. I live on the coast and it just gets flooded with people and boats.
So as I am driving home from work with my mind full of nonsense – all of a sudden a man jumped in front of my car and put his hands up for me to stop…so I did. All of the cars behind me obviously had to stop too.
I could see this mans truck parked on the other side of the road blocking the traffic from the other side.
I could not see why on earth we were stopping.
There is a side walk on one side of the road with about a 6in high lift. There were baby turkeys (tiny tiny) stuck trying to get up on the sidewalk but they could not. They were to small.
The man went down the line and picked up the baby turkeys and placed them on the sidewalk. There was at least 5 or 6 of them.
As he was placing the babies on the sidewalk the big Mamma Turkey kept running out of the woods trying to peck at the man for touching her babies. But she was just scared and frazzled… you could tell.
He gently would shoo shoo her away back into the woods until all the babies were safe.
It was such a great act of bravery and kindness. One I will not forget.
I told the man he was a saint as he was getting back into his car. He was out of breath and said “I got them all!”
Beautiful π God bless that Man. π

I think God is active in people’s lives like this, trying to get us to the safety of His love, working actively at it and rejoices at each one saved. A very cool image.πβ€οΈ

Awww…wonderful…. The Human Spirit of Kindness is still prominent and in abundance…. Its just the main-stream-media always show the darker side of things… And if truth be known.. I am sure many such great acts of kindness are happening all the time.
Wonderful you got to witness it π β€

When going home after dropping my wife off at the dialysis center, I saw to turkey hens and several little ones, a little bigger than in your photo, but not by much. Having grown up on a turkey farm, I always enjoy the wild turkey in our area. I did not have to stop. They had crossed the road and were struggling to walk up the small bank and then up the hill.
