The effect we have 5/27

Comedian Jim Carey gave a very memorable Commencement Speech at MIU in 2014. I have listened to it more times than I can count.

There is one thing specifically that he says that just rings true through my whole body and always gives me some humility and tears of grace.

He states : “The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is.”

When I start my day with this belief in mind…I approach the world in a whole different way.

I am a true addict living my life one day at a time in recovery. I have been substance free -meaning NO drugs or alcohol since 5/23/10. My intention is to share my experiences daily in the hopes to free others from the fears of being who they truly are. My wish is to bravely tell my truth so others can tell theirs as well.   1. I just heard a quote yesterday by Lionel Ritchie that says, “At the end of comfortable is where growth begins.” I am not thinking these are identical thought but they compliment each other well. Have a beautiful day, friend.😃❤️

  3. I hope he does more than utter these words, but lives them. His expression goes back to the earliest wisdom of mankind. On those days we live them, we ennoble ourselves.
